WMC 2011: International Dance Music Awards Nominees Announced - Will Ultra Music Festival Be Involved?

The nominees for the 2011 Winter Music Conference: International Dance Music Awards have just been announced - fans & attendees are now able to place their votes!

Okay so here's the scoop, the lineup of nominees for the 26th annual IDMA have just been announced - fans & attendees are now able to place their votes starting today, up until February 18, 2011.

Voters have a total of 57 different categories divided into 3 different sections - "International Dance Music Awards for 2010" (for artists), "Business Achievement Awards for 2010" (for businesses, sponsors and record labels), and of course the "Pro Audio Awards for 2010" (for technical hardware and software producing companies).

There's still plenty of fresh controversy with Ultra Music Festival leaving WMC 2011 - fans, tourists & attendees who looked forward to attending both events during the same week are now expressing their true feelings towards the unfortunate situation via many online forum sites. Some groups, bands, and fans have even gone as far as claiming to boycott the UMF for 2011 entirely. Although UMF has won 5 awards from the IDMA, the question on everyone's mind is - will UMF win anything at all from the IDMA after removing itself from WMC this year?

Stay tuned for more scoop  - you wont want to miss any, especially if you're planning on traveling to Miami, Florida for any of these events.

  1. Why is ultra and wmc spread so far apart in 2011....what a mess....greed and corruption is trying to ruin our scene again....you DJs who signed exclusive contracts for ultra are punk as greedy manipulated destroyers of a clean free Utopian vibe...
Go give to charity and represent the music for GOOD
